The term solar system refers to a group or collection of celestial bodies that revolve around a central star. In our case, this central star is the Sun and its orbiting planets, natural satellites (moons), asteroids, comets, and other debris form what we know as the Solar System. The solar system is held together by gravitational forces with the sun at the center of it all.
